Emotions and logic intertwine,

In this weighted existence.

Something inside paces like a caged animal unsure of its next feeding.

What meant so much now means so little,

Can there really be another way without resistance?

The mind can grow weak with all the needless beating;

So the search continues for all that is right.

Until then, in trepidation these soles will tread no more.
